To enhance the knowledge transfer and the cooperation among the project partners, two intensive scientific courses are organized during the second and the third year of the MarcoPolo and PANDA projects. Within these summer schools, universities will arrange training courses with interdisciplinary lectures, practical work and field excursions. The summer schools are offered to PhD students/Post docs/Young Scientists who are interested in the topics of the school and have a background in atmospheric chemistry or meteorology. The language of instruction is English.
Next (second) summer school (4-8 July 2016)
The second PANDA / Marco Polo Summer school “International Summer School on Air Pollution Monitoring and Forecast: Space observations and Air Quality” will take place from 04 to 08 July 2016 at the School of Atmospheric Sciences (SAS), Sun Yat-sen University (http://eeswxm.sysu.edu.cn/) in Guangzhou, China.
The summer school will offer lectures, practical exercises, round table discussions and excursions to PhD students/Postdocs/Young scientists interested in the topic of the summer school. The language of instruction will be English.
Please note that the costs for traval and lodging are not covered by the summer school. Lodging can be provided to the participants in the hotel at Sun Yat-Sen University for 350 RMB per day in a shared double room including breakfast. The summer school has no registration fees and will include most meals, coffe breaks and supersite visits.
